Hi Rafael,

I am trying to install everything needed to make my own 3D models.
I downloaded following free programs.
- Visual studio 2005 express
- XNA game studio 2.0
- XSI 6 Mod tool
I found some video's to make models in XSI and export them into XNA at following link

http://blogs.msdn.com/dawate/archive/2008/02/05/building-a-3d-game-in-xna-from-scratch-free-video-tutorial-series-now-available.aspx

By watching the movie I see that there is a tab 'XNA game studio' in XSI 6 mod tool who's missing at my computer?
Do I have to install something more, because I reinstalled everything twice without any success.

I'll try to make the GuitarMatey pirate hate model example discussed in the movie.

Thanks in advance

I don“t recommend you to use the XSI Mod tool, because use this own shadders that are not used by Machines Simulator, then the models designed with this tool will not have the same appearance in Machines Simulator. Also this tool is very complicated to use by persons with no experience with 3d modelling.

Better I recommend you the MilkShape program, very easy to use and cheap, and exports the models directly in fbx format.
Also you can use the Blender that is free to use and also exports directly in fbx format.
You can find on Internet a lot of tutorials of how to make 3d models with this tools.

Then you only need the Visual Studio 2005 express + XNA Game Studio 2.0 + your prefer 3D modelling tool. Once you have created your model export it to fbx or DirectX format and read the instructions of the tutorial (How to add my owns 3D models to the Machines Simulator models gallery) to compile the model to xnb Machines Simulator format.
