We're excited to share a very special surprise with all our users—something we've been working on behind the scenes for several months.

As part of our mission to build the most flexible and powerful tool for creating any type of digital twin, we're happy to announce that Machines Simulator v5 will be available very soon. Below, you can take a first look at what's coming with a few preview screenshots.

For this release, we're making an exception: the upgrade will be completely free for all users with a valid Machines Simulator v4 license—no additional payment required.

Below is the list of new features included in version 5:

- New optimized graphics engine, achieving greater hardware efficiency and higher refresh rates and FPS compared to the previous version.
- Now Machines Simulator v.5 it is compatible with DX12 and DX11.
- In Editor mode, property panel has collapsible panels and help info for each component property.
- Components can be hidden from the Hierarchy Tree.
- User Defined Components will appear in the properties panel as standard components.
- When creating a new UDC, it is not necessary to exit the Editor for it to appear in the library.
- New gizmo in the editor for extrusion mode, you can create multiple components connected to each other, copying their properties.
- New context menu for components when double-clicking with the right mouse button.
- New component selection system using precise vertex detection. Selected components utilize a new outliner system that reveals hidden parts.
- New Entity component, which replaces the Static, Dynamic, Plane and Model components.
- Workparts and Entities can have dynamic collisions (with severity)
- Machines Simulator 5 no longer supports MS Lite.
- Machines Simulator now supports a wide variety of 3D model formats: obj, fbx, gltf, glb, dae, x, mdl, md2, pk3, mdc, md5mesh, q3o, q3s, raw and machsim
- Machines Simulator Professional supports more 3D model formats: stl, 3ds, ase, lwo, lxo, c4d, ms3d, 3mf, xml, bvh, ase, ply, ifc, iqm, nff, smd, vta, ac, ac3d, off, ter, ogex, ms3d, lws, xgl
- Editor Mode: from the hierarchy tree, components can be selected using the cursor keys.
- Improved component copy/paste system; parent/child hierarchies are now respected when copying each component
- New effect when destroying WorkParts with a dissolution effect.
- New 3D Model Editor tool, is possible create models and/or edit existing ones, whether from the library or imported (with the possibility of exporting to obj/fbx in the professional version).
- New movement mode for components: in the editor, pressing the left shift key moves the components while respecting collisions between components.
- Now in the Modbus server driver, you can now add the server ID (0, 1).
- Two new robots (Generic Robot and Cobot3) have been added with more realistic IK, and the ability to move the robots using custom programs as in real systems.
- New component for creating robots according to the parameters supplied by the manufacturers, with the new IK system and robot command programming.
- New Follower component to create complex movements in aligned parts (cylinders connected to other components or similar).
- New factory scene with high-resolution lighting.
- New components with procedural management: roller conveyors, belts, machines, factories, etc. that will be fully customizable.
- Now Machines Simulator v.5 includes a new floating server licensing system for the Server License users.
