Problems with licenses

In some systems based in Windows (10, 8 ,7) have been observed problems with the acceptance of licenses.
These actions can be done to solve it:

First, be sure you have copied the license file (License.lcs) in the correct place (only for the Single PC Licenses, for the USB licenses the license file is transfered automatically in the installation process).
For instance if you have installed EasyPLC and Machines Simulator in the following paths (default):

C:\Nirtec\EasyPLC
C:\Nirtec\Machines Simulator

then you have to copy the file in two places, in the paths:

C:\Nirtec\EasyPLC\License.lcs
C:\Nirtec\Machines Simulator\License.lcs
C:\Nirtec\Machines Simulator VR\License.lcs (if installed)

In this folder (C:\Nirtec\) you will not find any problem for the licenses to be accepted.

But if you have installed the programs in the Windows special folder C:\Program Files (x86):

C:\Program Files (x86)\EasyPLC
C:\Program Files (x86)\Machines Simulator

you have to copy the file in the paths:

C:\Program Files (x86)\EasyPLC\License.lcs
C:\Program Files (x86)\Machines Simulator\License.lcs

Then you must configure the executables with administrator rights to be able to recognize the licenses.

Next:


  • Go to the EasyPLC v5 Installation folder and select the file EasyPLC.exe, click right mouse button and select Run as Administrator (also for the file VirtualPLC.exe).
  • Go to the Machines Simulator Installation folder and select the file MachinesSimulator.exe, click right mouse button and select Run as Administrator (also for Editor.exe).
  • The problem could be done by your firewall or/and antivirus software, then please add an exception to these programs.

A very important point for Single PC licenses: remember that your license file only will work in the computer where you have registered the software!

Hi!

I've haven't used this software for a while, although i bought it in 2012. I downloaded the latest update and installed everything, added the exceptions in the AV program and firewall and set the applications to be used as an administrator. Then i copied over my license.lcs to the folders but it still says demo version.

I got a new computer and maybe it's due to the MAC adress? I Also use Windows 8 64-bit but the programs start and work without issues, only the license that says demo version in the EasyPLC and Machine Simulator software.

Also looking at the software ID it says not registred version

If you bought the software in 2012 means that you have an early version and the new version is not compatible with yours.
Please request for upgrade at ventas@nirtec.com.
