My friend draws every mechanical machine or parts into inventor 2010, is there any possible solutions to
import this with a program to use them into machines simulator?
I don't need the whole drawing but it would be very interesting to use some object even if it's in a striped form.
Or can he export to a usable format?

Thanks in advance

As I know Autodesk Inventor 2010 is not able to export the created 3D models in fbx or DirectX (x) format.
But its possible to export to DWG format, then with Autodesk Autocad or 3D Studio MAX its possible to convert from DWG to FBX.

Also there is an script available to import DWG files in Blender see this link: http://pythonide.blogspot.com/2009/04/dwg-support-for-blender.html

I'll found a solution,

3DSMax can read inventor 3D models and 3DSMax can convert to fbx format.
Only the scale factor has to changed.

Now I can use his models into machines simulator,  ;D
