Hi,
I'm using Machines Simulator 4 and I have a problem about custom workparts. I would like to use a cylinder-shaped one, so I imported my own model, but when i launch the simulation, it simply disappears. It is also not possible to create one with a WorkPartCreator. I have no idea where this could come from. The boolean "ShowOnMachineStart" is set to TRUE. Any advice ?
Also, I got a problem with a gantry robot. It is possible to link an object (like a gripper) to the tool of the robot, which follows its movements. I can launch the simulation without problems, but when it stops, the linked object changes of location, and is stretched, even if I didn't make it move. Any advice again ?
Thanks for your replies
Robin
Hi Robin,
For the first problem, yes of course, is possible to assing an external model to WorkParts.
Send your .mar file to info@nirtec.com and we will take a look where's your problem.
For the second, have you changed the Robot scale?
Hi,
The .maq file is sent.
And yes, I did change it. I guess it is due to this. Is it possible to "lock" the gripper's size, or should I not resize the robot ?
Regards
Robin
OK! maq received, but due the external models are not included we can not see anything.
Anyway the problem seems that you have choosen the property PhysicShape as Prefab.
This Prefab property for PhysicShape only must to be selected if the WorkPartPrefab is different to Customized, in this case in PhysicShape you must select Cube, Sphere or Capsule.
For Robots where you link a custom tool is not recommended to change scale, due this can affect to the parent objects.
