Hey all, Im replicating our factory floor, bunch of edgers, cncs, conveyors and robots. I'm not even close to done
but my frame rate is dropping to 5-8 fps.(on the lowest graphics setting)
i have a 3060 graphics card and have things allocated correctly.
any tips for optimization/improving performance?
Thanks Ham
Hi Ham!
One important question, are you using the models available in the Machines Simulator library or your own imported models?
If you are using your own .obj imported models, you must to be sure are optimimed for a low-poly configuration (no more than 1MB-2MB if you must to place a lot of them in the same machine) and the texture files are maximun 1024 x 1024, otherwise the system will slow down dur these 3D models are not optimized for a real time graphics & physics simulation system.
Note: for instance you can use the Blender modifier 'Decimate' con convert your 3D models to lowpoly.
Im using mostly the models from the library with a few of my own simple components. these are small files though 500-700Kb
In Advanced Graphic Settings, set shadows to none, disable graphics effects and set Antialiasing mode to none or FXAA basic.
