Title: License issue
Post by: JoePLC on March 15, 2023, 11:29:25 PM
Hi friends.  I installed EasyPLC Suite (single license) on my laptop to the default folders.  I sent the Software ID and received the licenses.  I copied them to the folders (default, not system folders), but EasyPLC is still the demo version.  I reinstalled EasyPLC but it's the same.  I've also tried right clicking the desktop icon and running as administrator but it's still the same.  I'm using a laptop with windows 10 pro.  Please see the pic showint the default folder location and the link below shows video of copying the file, then launching the software (but it's still demo).  Thank you friends, I look forward to using EasyPLC.
Joe

Yes Sir, that is a good point.  I did do that, I just didn't record it in order to keep the video short.  I'm thinking I may need to start from the beginning and record the whole thing.  I'm posting a pic of the license in the folder.  Thank you.

Thank you, Master.  Machine Simulator says "NO LICENSE FOUND".  I went back and checked the Software Id that I had sent and it was correct, however I found this - below the Software ID I clicked the System Info button.  Beside System Directory is C:\Windows/system32.  Please see the attached pic.  I have a 64 bit Windows 10 pro system - did it install in the Windows/system32 by default?  Isnt that a 32 bit programs folder that would require special admin access?  If so, would you recommend that I uninstall and reinstall and see if I can avoid this?  If that doesn't work, I will certainly take your advice and resend the Software id for a new license file. Thank you again.

This data is not important, it is a Windows system directory, whether it is 64 or 32 bits, that directory always exists.

Please send your Software id code to the address provided to resend the license file to you.

The new license works!  I'm so happy I think I peed on myself a little!

 ;D

The ID license code you sent was missing the hyphens, so it didn't work the first time.
