Title: Is the dongle supposed to work on virtualbox machines?
Post by: fredz0003 on November 21, 2018, 08:47:10 AM
Good day,

I am at it again, is the dongle supposed to work with a virtualbox. My usb comes up fine inside the VM, but when I launch easyplc it doesn't find the license.
Just wondering because I don't want to install/run my siemens stuff on my laptop where I have all my rockwell automation programs.

I just read on another post that it is not recommended to run on virtualbox.

Even though the USB dongle can be recognized without any problem in a Virtual machine (as long as it recognizes the inserted USB device) is not recommended for Machines Simulator, due virtual machines can not take advantage of PC hardware acceleration features, this means MS will run very slowly.
