Title: Interface Program
Post by: fredz0003 on April 13, 2017, 09:57:05 PM
Good day,

I am in the process of starting a new series of programming. I am making videos on how to setup easyplc with step7. For me is easy to set up with a script. So I was gonna make that video for the setup.

I just notice a new option for an interface program. I gave it a try and couldn't make it work. Also is it limited to only 16 IO? Some simulators have almost 32IO and obviously this will not work unless it can be duplicated or something else. Is not so intuitive as to where do the inputs and outputs go.

Lastly is there any examples on how to set it up? Manual only shows a screenshot.

Thanks.

Hi!

In this thread you can find a video where is explained how to use the interface template:

Obviously, you can use any number of I/O not only 16, I think your problem (limitation) is in the Machines Simulator I/O number configuration, the programs gets automatically the Machines Simulator I/O number, if you need more I/O you must to change it, in order to select the desired I/O number.

That's strange because I had 32 inputs and 32 outputs configured for MachSim, and when the interface block opened it only had 16 configurable inputs and outputs.

And how many I/O has the Machines Simulator driver in EasyPLC (I/O Devices node)?
