Title: No clue why it won't connect to machine
Post by: fredz0003 on April 27, 2012, 06:07:43 PM
Every time I start a new project, it won't connect to the machine, it shouldn't be that hard to connect I don't know what's happening at this point. Don't even know how my last project connected to the machine it just worked one day all of a sudden.

I figured out what's wrong with the software, when you create a new project the default I/O device doesn't connect at all with the machine, now I remembered what I did with my last project, I had to remove the default I/O device, add a new one and configure it, then it works like a charm, not sure why when a new project is created the I/O device doesn't work, perhaps a bug. Just wanted to let the creator how I made it work, because last time it was pure luck  ;D

When you create a new project, by default, only is created one I/O Device, the Simulation one. With this driver is not possible to communicate with Machines Simulator.
If you want to use your EasyPLC program with Machines Simulator you must to use the driver MachinesSimulator: Menu -> Hardware -> Add new Hardware.
From the Add New I/O Device window, you must to select from the left tree, the Machines Simulator category, and select MachinesSimulator driver. Only with this driver you can communicate with EasyPLC.
I recommend you to read the Machines Simulator Quick Guide (you will found it in the Machines Simulator installation folder/Help/) there is explained step by step to to create a program from zero with EasyPLC and the necesary steps to work together with Machines Simulator.
